Be Part of Something Bigger Spotlight: Mike

EPIC 2017 Where Big Happens. Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mike has been with Supply Chimp for over five years. In his time here, he has demonstrated his heart for others and a drive to make a difference – and this is part of why he was one of two winners of the Be Part of Something Bigger award this quarter! This award means a great deal to us because this core value is a huge part of who we are. We make what we do matter, and we make a difference.

Connecting & Inspiring

In the time he has been with us, Mike has demonstrated his innovation in many ways that often end up helping not only his team but other teams as well. His strengths are particularly clear in the realm of contracts and relationships and reaching for what matters.

Mike’s teammates see him as an example for making a difference for others beyond everyday tasks. “Mike also exemplifies this value in his work,” says Kelly, director of sales and support. “He’s fought uphill battles to earn business with partners that have allowed our company to grow and be more successful overall. He consistently looks for opportunities within our current contracts and with our current partners that will help company growth. ”

Supply Chimp’s president, Kris Colt, says, “Mike not only deserves this award but he really is the epitome of Be A Part Of Something Bigger. It’s really two-pronged – he genuinely cares about Supply Chimp’s success and he truly cares about others from his heart.

Giving & Encouraging

Mike is known for volunteering with much of his time towards bigger causes. Here at Supply Chimp, every employee may take a paid workday to go volunteer somewhere. Mike not only does this every quarter, but even volunteers on his own time.

Kelly added, “Anyone that knows and works with Mike would agree that he is most deserving of the core value award for his work to be a part of something bigger. He volunteers regularly in his community and even while on vacation!”

Mike has also organized team gatherings so that his team could get out and volunteer together. He not only strives to live out this value, but he also promotes other teammates who do the same and is always encouraging every employee at Supply Chimp to get out and serve in their communities.

“It’s exciting to see his compassion come alive at our company and also where he volunteers and serves others,” said Kris. “He is inspiring to me and to many others.”

Mike’s giving and empathetic nature is part of what makes him incredibly valuable to his team, and we are grateful to continue to work with him.
